{ Gotta love it... }

... when you make something that you actually like! Lastnight I went down to my stamp room to play. I had started a card last week, but did not like how it was coming along so set it aside. So lastnight I decided to go another way with it. Well, I must say that I am quite happy with the way this one turned out!

I love this Ginger Blossom paper from SU! So pretty. I think I might have to get me some Groovy Guava paper now. ;0) I also got to play with my new Photo corner punch too! And it is hard to see in the pic but...Shannon...I even used the wheel that I bought off of you at the stamp sale!

Well it's the last day of school for my oldest today. Pizza Day...which means I am volunteering today. Then both girls have their 'Student lead conference'. Em's is a full hour from 5-6pm then El's is at 6:30-7:00pm. Not sure what we will do for 30-45mins in between...hopefully it's nice outside, maybe the girls will just play at the park.

Have a great day and thanks for stoppin' by...

{ Too freakin' cold!!! }

Wow! I knew it was gonna be cold, but... It is -48C with the windchill right now here in Calgary. That is -54.4F for you Americans!! Pretty freakin' cold if you ask me. I was not sure about sending the kids to school today. We drove to the bus stop and I decided if the bus did not show after about 15-20 mins that we would head home and they would not go today. But the bus actually showed up a few minutes early today! I just was worried about the bus breaking down on the way. She is on her way anyway. We will see about the other bus later this morning though.

Onto todays creation. This is one of the projects I did with my ladies for our monthly stamp class. This is a gift card holder. You can check out the full picture tutorial on the Scor-pal website on Feb 1st...by moi!! These are so easy and fun to make. I apologize...the pic is a bit blurry. I actually ran the red strip through my cuttlebug with the circle folder. We also used some Irridecent Ice on the Mickey Balloon.

Hope everyone has a great day! And if you are in Alberta or BC...stay warm!!

{ Christmas stamping! }

I decided that it was time that I actually have a sample for my own Challenge(see top post for details) up! I decided to go with something a little different. Not the usual Christmas design...or at least not for me.

This was one of the first creations using my new Baroque Motifs and Sanded set. I absolutely love this stamp!! It is just a great stamp for creating quick cards. I plan to make a bunch of these in different color schemes. I also think I will make more of this particular one for Christmas cards this year too. This card was inspired by Nancy's card here. Thanks for the inspiration, Nancy! I actually made one more card lastnight, but I will save it for tomorrow's post.

We are now on our way to do some 'Back to School' shopping! Wish us luck ;0)
