{ Club Anya Gallery Case Contest }

First off...you better like Anya, cause you are going to be seeing a lot of her on my blog! ;0)

Here is my entry into the Club Anya Case that Anya Contest...

The card that I cased was made by Pam Varnell. I do not own Angel Anya yet, so I did mine with Mermaid Anya. There were sooooooo many amazing cards that I could have cased...so I just chose one of the first ones that sparked something in me. I must say that I am lovin' this card! I added lots of gems and added some glitter to the bubbles on the cuttlebug background. I used some new dp I picked up at the Pantry this week...Twitterpated - Colorfall - Imaginisce.

Thanks for stoppin' by...

{ LCSC #12 Entry }

Good day everyone! I got the chance to play a bit lastnight and decided to work on this weeks LCSC #12. This week Jen said with the sketch we could use an Anthony & Burt stamp. And since I just happen to have one now...I decided to play! I was not too sure about these images once I received it. Just cause it is a bit big. But I actually quite like it. They are kinda cute, don't you think? I like the image just not totally sold on my choice of papers. But it is okay.

Since I am talking about Littlecs, just thought I would let you all know about the great sale that Jen is having for the entire month of October! 35% off Everything! Go! Check it out!

Thanks for stoppin' by and a big Happy Turkey Day to all the Canadians out there! Enjoy!

{ Life is too short... }

And so are the days! I can not believe it has been almost a week since I posted. Again...sorry. I am thinking this is gonna be the norm. Just seems like there is no time for stamping, or when there is...I am just too tired and not feeling creative...at all!! And we aren't as busy as some families, but busier than what is normal for us. And just lots of stresses right now. Or shall I say...I am stressing about lots of things. Not that they are stress, just that I am a little worry wort. ;0)
Anyway here is another creation from last week. This one was for a sketch challenge, but for the life of me I can not remember which one. I looked through my usual sketches, but can't find it. If anyone knows what this one was from, please let me know!

For this one, I used a colored image...from my stash. It came out alright. Nothing spectaular, but a nice card just the same. :0)

Hope you all have a great weekend. And thanks for stoppin by.

{ Check it out! }

Okay...so if you have not heard of Whiff of Joy yet...where have you been!!?? Katharina is having a hugh blog candy giveaway right now. Go check it out. These Guardian Angels are just so sweet. Go check it out!!

On a side note? I realized something lastnight. You know these great sketches that Julee has for the AVS Challenge on SCS? I will not be able to complete them for the giveaway. We are leaving on Monday for some more camping. Oh well...I still plan to do them all and with all a Christmas theme too! Guess, I will just have to buy the line like all the rest of ya. ;0) Well except for the lucky winner that is.

Oh...here is another couple BIA creations for ya. My girls asked me to make them little sticker books just like Mommy's wish book. Lovin' my BIA...it definitely gets easier with more practice. Not that it is hard...just trying to decide on coil size is the tricky part.

Later...

{ How cool is this? }

I am so excited to show this to you! Remember how I had mention a new toy I just received? Well the new toy was a Bind-it-all. It has been sitting on my table for over a week now...just sitting...and staring at me. I have been very nervous to try it...why...not really sure...just feeling a bit inadequate. But I was given some inspiration by Cindy's little project here. So I sat down and made myself a Stamp Wish Book. Okay...it's not perfect by any means...but it's all mine and my very first Bind-it-all project. So I am sure I will get the hang of it. I used chipboard coasters for the front and back cover and just computer paper for the inside sheets. I punch out some SU tabs and added a bunch of my fav stamp companies. I have a few extra sheets in there in case some new companies come out of the woodwork. ;0) So what do ya think? Sorry about the pic...my camera is acting up and I had just shoot before the camera conked out again.

Off to bed now...have a great rest of the week!

{ Surprise! Another 12 X 12! }

I apologize for being so long between posts lately. I guess summer will be a bit of a challenge when it comes to blogging and creating. But I will try my best...bare with me. ;0)
But I do have another scrapbook layout to share!! Woohoo for me! And...I even like...okay...I actually love this one...but it could be because of the subject. Eeyore happens to be my favorite Disney character. So when the girls were getting their picture taken...well Mommy had to get in there too. And Eeyore even gave me a kiss too!!

I also have some RAKs to share with you too. I received this great Thank you RAK from Charlene. I had made and sent her a baby afghan for her new baby...who should be making an appearance soon! This was the thank you she sent. I can not wait to color these new images and I love the paper. I have actually used one of them with one of the next images...you will have to wait for that though! ;0) Thanks again Charlene!

Charlene and I also did an image swap recently and these were the image she sent...with some added High Hopes stamps!! I was so shocked when I opened the envelope and saw these cute stamps included! It is hard to see from the photo, but there is a cute little Scottie dog and an alligator image. Thank you once again Charlene. Charlene has also tagged me... I have not forgotten Charlene...I just have a hard time trying to think of something about myself. I promise that I will do it...just not right away. ;0)

Just wanted to let everyone know that you will not be hearing from me until next week as we are taking off on our first camping trip of the year. We are headed off to Mt Kidd for 3 nights and 4 days of mountain fun. See you all next week!

{ Last Day of School...Woohoo!! }

It is an exciting day today at our house...the last day of school. No more getting up early, no more set schedules for awhile. Love it! The kids...and us too...have already been getting into that mode for the past few days. It has been hard to get the kids to go to bed at their regular time. It was a bit of a struggle getting them out of bed yesterday. The were up talking the night before and would NOT go to sleep. Oh well. Tonight they get to sleep together and stay up as long as they want chatting. ;0)

I have been busy the past few days trying to get teachers gifts done. Of course, I left them all to the last minute! I really need to work on that and get more organized.

So here was the first one. I saw this template on Allison's blog a few weeks ago during her box/bag challenge. I like it, but it is pretty big and I ran out of time to get more cards done to fit into it. It is really meant for 12 cards and I only had 6 in it...oh well. I hope her teacher likes it. I decided to try some monogram cards for something different. It's okay. I am not a fan of monogram cards myself, so this is probably why I am not lovin' this one all that much.

I just realized the other day that I did not have a challenge in the month of June! I know that everyone will be busy during the summer, so I think I might only do one during the summer and then get back at it on a regular basis again in September. So be on the lookout next week for my Summer challenge. Have a great day and thanks for droppin' by. :0)

{ Man...I need some drugs! }

I have no idea what I have done, but man I am in pain!
My neck/upperback/shoulders/upper arms are killing me. I had a hard time sleeping last night. Think I will get hubby to bring me home some Robaxicet tonight if it is still like this later this afternoon. The girls have a play date today, so my plan is to just sit in the backyard and watch them most of the day. Okay...that's my whining for the day. ;0)

Here is a card I made last week using some awesome Plumeria paper I picked up at the Scrapbook Pantry here in Calgary. The paper is downstairs and I can't remember the name of it...Nancy, can you help me out? I just love this paper though! I did a faux Mother of Pearl finish...without the added color ink... on the main card layer to match the pearl in the DP. I really am quite happy with this one.

Hope you all have a fabulous June 1st!!

{ Once in a lifetime... }

...you meet someone who changes everything. Is that not the best stamp ever? This was my first creation from last weeks Calgal's evening. This is a stamp that Nancy has and she let me borrow it to make this card. I am so happy with the way this one turned out. I am thinkin' I might give this one to my in-laws for an Anniversary card next month.

Well, it is a nice bright and sunny day today. The wind is a bit chilly, but it is getting there.

I am off to clean up gopher poop from my backyard. Anyone what to join me?? Or if anyone has any brilliant ideas on how to get rid of a gopher... please do let me know!

{ Ahh...Calgon...take me away }

I could really use a nice hot soak tonight. Acky, tired, headache, crampy...don't mind me...just PMSing today!

I just love this Happy Hopper image. Too cute, eh? The inside of this card says..."Life is too short...to stress!" Too bad we all couldn't live by that rule, eh?

I was off volunteering today at the school. Last day of in-line skating for my youngest. Had to check it out. She was stressing all morning...more like crying and whining...that she did not want to go or go to school. We could not figure out what was up. We thought maybe she had been lying this wholetime and had not actually been participating. So I went...and she was fine. Her teacher thinks it was just the in-line teacher that was the trouble. He is a young guy and does not put up with too much from these kids. He would tell them something once and if they did not do it he started yelling at them. She had missed the first few classes due to our holiday, so when she came back, her teacher had told her to get her equiptment and come over beside her and she would help her put it all on. Well at that point all the kids had been doing it themselves and this young guy that is teaching the skating yelled at her to go back and do it herself. She is quite timid and I think he just got to her. After watching him today I was ready to yell at the guy myself. Oh well...she did just fine and I think she was having fun too. I will have a little talk with her tonight and I am sure she will be just fine.

Well the sun is starting slowly to make it back to Calgary! It is a bit breezy today, but at the sun has been out for most of the day. Tomorrow is suppose to get a little nicer...here's hoping!!

{ Happy Friday and only 4 more sleeps!!!! }

I am starting to bounce a bit now...heeheehee...I am so glad that I am working the next 3 days, or I would go mental. Hubby is on holidays as of 4:30 today and he so wishes he was working this weekend now. ;0) But he gets to spend the weekend cleaning the house ;0)

Okay, a quick post...I am just getting my youngest ready for school and me ready for work this afternoon...

I love this card! These cows from TAC are just too cute!! I added a ton of glitter to it. I used my Quickie glue pen and glitter...as suggested by my Mom. Thanks, Mom! The dewdrops are a little lost on this one, but I still like it. This sketch was from Julee's Mojo Monday from last week, but once again I did not get it posted in time. Oh well ;0)

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be posting a challenge for while I am away, so stay tuned this weekend!!

{ Hula Girls and Challenge card }

Okay, for those of us that a buried in snow and wind...close your eyes and image you are on the beach in Hawaii...check out these hula girls!!

Couldn't resist...the girls were playing dress up yesterday after we got back from getting hair cuts. They were performing for me, so I HAD to shoot a few pics. :0)
On another note...I stamped lastnight! And did a challenge too! Here is my entry into Ila's Highhopes blog candy. I think I like it. This is so out of my element. I don't usually use more than one kind of DP together. I see so many wonderful creations out there, but when I try...well to me it just looks messy and icky. I was lucky enough to have this great DP that I had bought off of Nancy awhile back. Enough babble...what do you think?

I love these stampsets from TAC. The butterfly is from the new mini and the sentiment is on the last page of the catty. I almost missed it and so glad that I ordered it. There are some great sentiments in the set. The inside of the card says...'to forget about your dreams'. As you can see I also too a stab at Beate's Thumping technique from a few weeks ago. I LOVE this technique. It is so pretty!!

Well, I am off to do some laundry. My darling daughter decided to dump 1/2 a bottle of cough sirup all over mommy lastnight! Yuck! Should have done the laundry lastnight...not too sure if it will come out of everything now...oh well.

Have a great Sunday!

{ Gotta love a skunk? }

Yup...I am in love with a skunk! Check this out!

I got the chance to stamp this afternoon. Yippy!! I am so in love with this card! Don't you just love it when you create something that you are totally in love with? I received a hugh order of TAC stamps this weekend and had to play. I just love these skunks...don't you? And I actually did a sketch challenge. Woohoo for me! This is my entry into Julee's Mojo Monday for this week. I was not too sure about this sketch at first. Not that I didn't like it...just that I was not sure I could pull it off. Well I am thrilled with it! I also got to use my new dewdrops from Jody's share.

Thanks for stoppin' by.

{ Seven weeks...but who's counting? }

That's right...7 weeks today I will be on a plane for Disneyland! Woohoo! Although, it will be a small plane. Hubby was looking at things online and found out which planes we will be taking. Apparently, we will be on a 70 seater for our first flight to Seattle. Yikes! Oh well. I think I have been on one before. I will be fine...I will be fine...I will be fine ;0)

Sorry that it took me awhile to post again. Busy working this weekend and then yesterday I was at the dentist. Yikes!! I was going in thinking I was getting 3 fillings...apparently the dentist had other plans! I ended up with 7 fillings and 5 needles later!! Lets just say it was a fairly painful experience...since the freezing did not take at first and I almost took out the dental assistant! Lets just say that I will be poppin' Advil like candy today!

Thought I would share the lastest creation I did for my youngest to take to a bday party this past weekend. I had finally bought myself a few Mickey stamps last week and El decided she wanted me to make a Mickey card. So here it is...

I got my inspiration for this one from the great card that I received from miss DottieK...check it out here. I love this Mickey stamp. I will definitely be using it a lot!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks for stoppin' by.

{ Hap-bee Day! }

A quick post today...almost time for work. Here was my entry for last weeks Mojo Monday...I forgot to post it though! Oh well...I still had fun with this one. This is one of the Bee images that I received from Miss DottieK. The background was done with my cuttlebug and then used some chalks to color in the images. The yellow strip was a bit too bold so I sponged on some black chalk. I really like this one. And I really love this sketch. I can definitely see myself using this one again.
I am gonna have to get busy stampin'...this is my last card to show you!! Yikes!

Have a great Wednesday! :0)

{ 9 Weeks Today!}

Yup...that's right baby! I will be in Disneyland 9 weeks today! Can you tell I am getting excited??? huh...huh...huh??? Hubby and I actually stayed up late and watched 'Jon and Kate plus 8' lastnight cause they were in Disneyworld. heeheeheehee. ;0)

I have one more Riley to share with you. This is my last Riley stamp and he is just so cute!

This one just kinda evolved. I cut out the main image and thought...okay now what? So then I searched for some paper and saw this one and liked it, then matched the colors with my Prisma pencils. Although, the green banner came out a bit too bright. I tried to darken it a bit...and it is in real life, just not so much in this photo. I am actually quite happy with this one. What do you think of the prima...does it look out of place up in the sky with Riley? I like it, but not 100% sold. But it needs something in that corner to balance it out. Lovin' those dew drops too! I discovered today that not only can you get some 'knock offs' at Michaels, but also Dollarama!! They had a package of Pink and Blue today and the package has 1000 for a $1!! So if you don't have any yet...it is a great way to try them out! Then of course there are those of us that bought a swack from Michaels and then yesterday Jody had to have a DewDrop Share on her blog!! And yes...I caved! ;0)

It is nice and bright and sunny here today. Lovin' it, but still feeling kinda run down today. Oh well...I am off to take a walk on the treadmill...maybe clear my head. Thanks for stoppin' by. :0)

{ Cheers! }

Riley has finally arrived!! I knew as soon as I saw him that I would love him...and I do! How could you not, really? So here it is...my first Riley creation. I saw this chair and thought of this retired SU DP would go perfectly. It maybe a bit too much with the polka dots, but I still like it. I used Anna's sketch here. This sketch challenge was from Feb 1st...I am a little behind. ;0) But I like this one...it's so me! Thanks, Anna! I added some stickles and a Prima...just for Shannon!

Hope you are all having a great weekend and I will be back tomorrow with another Riley creation! Thanks for stoppin' by today. :0)

{ Shannon's Color Challenge }

I really need help on my post titles! Anyway...here is my entry for Shannon's color challenge. And look Shannon...I even added a Prima...just for you! ;0) But of course my ribbon is wonky. I am too lazy to take another pic though...so you are stuck with this one. I also thought I would give SCS Sketch Challenge 163 a try. I quite like this sketch, but then again I love square cards.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I have stamp class tonight, so I will share the projects this weekend...don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone. ;0)

{ Calgon...take me away! }

Man...could I use a nice loooonnnggg hot one! What a day. Thanks to everyone for their comments regarding my DD. I ended up taking her to the ER at the Children's Hospital. And what good timing we had. No one was there and we got in right away. Although, we still spent almost 6 hours there. Turns out DD just has a nasty stomach bug. But she was really dehydrated, so they hooked her up to an IV for about 3.5hrs. She was a brave little girl. She has yet to have any blood taken, so this was her first time. They ended up having to do it twice...once in each hand. She did very well considering. It was a long afternoon, but I think she is better. She will be staying home again tomorrow and we will try and get some more fluids in her and start getting some food into her. There is no school on Friday, so hopefully by the end of the weekend she should be good to go...I hope!! Poor thing.

Thought I would share another Bella creation with you all. This one was made for a special blogging friend of mine, Charlene who is taking a bit of a blogging/stamping break right now. Big hugs Charlene! I finally got to use my Basic Grey cs on this one. I must say I love this color! It really works well with all the pastel colors.

Well...I am exhausted. Back later with some more Bellas...

{ Penguin Joy }

Just a quick post today...got a sickie in da house...again!! My oldest was sick last week with a fever? Well apparently it was a sign of things to come...she was up all night crying and squirming with an ear ache. Turns out she has an ear infection...on both sides. This is her first one...she is 6. Not fun! She has a bday party to go to tomorrow...cross your fingers that she gets better before then...not likely. :0(

Anyway, here is a quick card I made this past week. I think I like it. Lately, everything I make looks like it is missing something. What do you think?

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :0)
