{ Ladies...start your engines }

Okay...that was just a stupid title. I know! But that is kinda how I feel. This week is gonna be a crazy one for me. I am taking 2 classes this week at the Pantry. Tonight is my Cricut pt1 class and then Wednesday night is my Copic class with Shannon! Then we have all the regular weekly madness of work, school, gymnastics and ballet and then I have my own class that I am teaching on Friday night. So a very busy week...but a fun one too!

I just realized that I don't think I posted this card yet. Nothing special, but I quite like this one. I love this little Changito image. It's funny though...everytime I color him I always color the flower exactly the same way. Do you find you do that with some images or is it just me? I will have to branch out on the next one and color it Pink or Red! I believe this one was a SCS sketch...but again which one? No idea! I promise to start keeping better track of these things!

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great week!

{Mojo Monday Entry}

Sorry for the less than creative title! But here it is. This is my entry for this weeks MojoMonday and the first offical sketch for the new blog. Okay...I was not too sure about this one. I knew right away when I saw the sketch that I wanted to use more of my Fairiest of them All DP, but then the for main image? I decided to go with the rub-ons. This is only the 3rd time in my life that I have used rub-ons. I was not too sure at first, but now...I think I like this one. I added some blue around the cloud to make it come out a bit more. And unfortunately, I only have one size of the oval nesties, so my sentiment oval is little smaller than I had wanted. Okay enough picking it apart. Hope you like it.
Thanks for stoppin' by!

{ Back to normal...}

Well as normal as it ever gets! Kids were back to school today...back to early mornings...back to making lunches...back to routines. Sounds so exciting eh? I guess it is not entirely bad though.

So I have been thinking the past few days...yup...and you get to listen. ;0)

Instead of listing a whole bunch of goals for the year I am going to chose a word for 2009. My word for the year will be FOCUS. It is something that I need to do in every aspect of my life. I need to FOCUS on my health and get back to a healthy lifestyle. I am not going to start listing pounds and sizes...I just want to get active and get Happy! I need to FOCUS on the positive people in my life and not worry about the other stuff. I need to FOCUS on getting my finances under control. I need to FOCUS on stamping/crafting for the love of it again and not worry about what everyone else is doing. I need to FOCUS on staying positive and let the negativity go. Make sense? Well...it does to me! That's it.

Thanks for stoppin' by and listening. Hope you enjoy the newest Hedgie creation. He is such a cutie. Maybe not the best color combo for him...but it works.

{ Gift giving Season is upon us! }

That's right! I originally saw this tutorial on Beates blog and thought what a great way to use up some of the 500 coasters I have! This was the project I did this month for my class. This would make a great Christmas or winter Bday gift. And this Stamp It Austrailia paper is perfect! Anyone in the Calgary area can pick up this paper at the Scrapbook Pantry. So...what do you think? I was planning to use my Bind-it-all, but I did not have the right sized coils for this project and could not get any in time. But I think the ribbon actually gives it a nice 'romantic' feel. Think I will be making some more of these!

Also, before I forget...here was my September Aloha RAK that I received from Colleen. How awesome was this?! Love that little matching mint holder. I can not wait to dig into those mints...I almost forgot about them. ;0) Thanks again, Colleen.

I also recieved some BRAKs yesterday. This first one is from my friend Nancy. And she used her new TCP stamps too! Thanks again, Nancy. :0)

The second one is from Joan(froglady @ SCS). What a fun card. I love that stamped background! I really should try this more often. Thank you so much, Joan for thinking of me.

I have a couple of 'tags' that I need to work on that I have received from a few people the past week or so. I will be back...

{Happiness is knowing you}

Really it is! You wouldn't know it by my lack of posting lately though...sorry. It has just been crazy busy and I have been stressed and just not feeling the mojo...at all!! Between work, school, ballet, cheerleading and now...car troubles. Let's just say I have not been feeling much like stamping. Don't get me wrong...I want to, but I am just not feeling it. Hopefully this weekend I can find some time and energy. ;0)

Anyway, here is a creation I did awhile back and forgot to post...at least I don't think I posted it...if I did...well just pretend you haven't seen it before. ;0) Nothing spectacular, but it's cute.
I will try and take some pics this weekend of some RAKs that I have received lately and a few new creations I made last week.
Thanks for stoppin' by and stickin' with me. :0)

{ Yes...I am still alive! }

Sorry everyone! We did make it back from camping...it's just been busy around here. I was working and then hubby's lastday of holidays on Sunday we took the kids to Calaway Park for the last time this season. Then yesterday I decided to go through the kids clothes to see what we need to buy for school...which starts in 1 week!! Then I decided to clean their rooms! Why? I have no idea!! 6 hours later I was done both rooms and then 2 hours after that we were done cleaning up the playroom downstairs! What a job...but it is all clean now. I decided to take everything out of their rooms and put all the toys...accept for stuffed animals and dressup clothes...down in the basement. I was getting sick and tired of having 'stuff' in everyroom of the house. Hopefully this will help to keep the mess...at least most of it...in the basement, where I only have to see it when I go down to stamp! Nothing new to show off right now, so here is an old one that I have not posted yet...

This one was for the Color Throwdown #2 and I also used Mojo Monday Sketch #47. Simple, but I think it turned out okay. Now...if I can get the camera to work I will take a pic of a newer creation and get that posted for ya tomorrow.

I will leave you with the only good shot we got on the last camping trip. Of course the only 1 nice day we had we for got the camera and the fact that the darn thing is not working!! Don't you just love cameras...when they work!! Anyway here is a pic of El trying to stay warm under the towel, while her sister is busy making a big trench in the sand. I actually spent more time in the water this day even though it was rather chilly. But I guess with the air temp being lower the water didn't feel all that bad. Okay...it was still cold, but I guess it could have been worse. ;0)

{ Anni-verve-sary Sketch Challenge 1 }

Okay, so if you have not already heard...go on over to SCS and check out Julee's Anni-verve-sary Sketch Challenge. It is 12 days of Sketch Challenges. If you complete all 12 and upload onto the correct daily sketch, you will be in the running to win the entire new August release!! I just found out about it yesterday, so I have a few to catch up on as today is day 4. GO! NOW!!

So here is my take on
AVS01...I decided...since I have a ton of colored images, I really should start using them. And since I really need to get some Christmas cards started...well you get the picture. ;0) I have another 6 or seven of these Snowbunny Bellas colored in all different colors. I should do a group of these ones. Although some are not 'typical' Christmas colors, but they will still be pretty cards.
Okay, I am off to beat my children...just kidding...but I better find something to do before they either kill eachother or I do it for them!! I am really hoping today is a better day outside for some pool/sprinkler fun!! And I want to sit outside and read my new book! I picked up Breaking Dawn yesterday at Costco. I read the first 2 chapters quickly last night...oh my oh my!! ;0)

Later!

{ one more for today...}

I almost forgot to post my creation for Jen's LCSC #2. It's not the greatest...once again, me fighting to make ribbon work!! Uggg. Oh well...one more Christmas card for the stash anyway. ;0)

{ Lets Hear it for Summer!! }

Anyone else as excited as I am that summer is finally here?! It was a great day today and this weekend is suppose to be hot, hot, hot! Bring it on baby!

Just thought I would share another teacher's gift I made last week. I just love this template...it is so fast and easy. And just so you know all 6 cards are the same...I was just too lazy to take them all out to take the photo!

Some of you out there will be happy to know that I have finally had some of my Disney pics printed off...so be on the lookout for some more Scrapbook pages!!

Hope you all have a wonderful summery weekend!!

{ Last Day of School...Woohoo!! }

It is an exciting day today at our house...the last day of school. No more getting up early, no more set schedules for awhile. Love it! The kids...and us too...have already been getting into that mode for the past few days. It has been hard to get the kids to go to bed at their regular time. It was a bit of a struggle getting them out of bed yesterday. The were up talking the night before and would NOT go to sleep. Oh well. Tonight they get to sleep together and stay up as long as they want chatting. ;0)

I have been busy the past few days trying to get teachers gifts done. Of course, I left them all to the last minute! I really need to work on that and get more organized.

So here was the first one. I saw this template on Allison's blog a few weeks ago during her box/bag challenge. I like it, but it is pretty big and I ran out of time to get more cards done to fit into it. It is really meant for 12 cards and I only had 6 in it...oh well. I hope her teacher likes it. I decided to try some monogram cards for something different. It's okay. I am not a fan of monogram cards myself, so this is probably why I am not lovin' this one all that much.

I just realized the other day that I did not have a challenge in the month of June! I know that everyone will be busy during the summer, so I think I might only do one during the summer and then get back at it on a regular basis again in September. So be on the lookout next week for my Summer challenge. Have a great day and thanks for droppin' by. :0)

{ Challenge slacker }

That is what I am. I am meeting with the Calgals(see sidebar) tonight and we are now doing a challenge each month. This month was my challenge and I have not even done it yet! Guess what I am going to do after I clean the kitchen??!! I am so bad!

So here is a quick post for ya. Here is the second project I did with my stamp class ladies for June. I have had this template for over a year now and have not tried it. So I thought it was high time. This is a really fun card to make. The only thing...is if you are sending this one to a non-cardmaker, they may not have any idea on how to open it! ;0)This is a sliding pop-up card done by Diane. I just loved her card too. I used my new background stamp on this one. When I saw Beates tutorial for the thumping technique awhile back...well, I just had to have it. So of course we used the technique on this too.Well I am off to clean and then create. Hope you all have a great weekend.

{ Wow! }

What a productive weekend I had! Lots of stamping done. Friday was our May Calgal(see sidebar) gathering and I actually made 2 cards and colored a new image too! That is not like me. Usually I spend the entire night coloring and not creating. Nancy put out a challenge this month to 'bling it up'. So here was my challenge card that I brought along.

I just love this Butterfly Swirls TAC set. The inside says...'to forget about your dreams." This was my first long card creation too. Can you believe that? I made a few more this weekend...but you have to wait for those.
Hope all my American friends are having a nice Holiday Weekend. And hope your weather is better than here in Calgary!! Still cloudy, cold and rainy here. Hoping today is the last of it. I think it has been about 7 days in a row now...enough! Bring back the sunshine and warmness!!

{ Hula Girls and Challenge card }

Okay, for those of us that a buried in snow and wind...close your eyes and image you are on the beach in Hawaii...check out these hula girls!!

Couldn't resist...the girls were playing dress up yesterday after we got back from getting hair cuts. They were performing for me, so I HAD to shoot a few pics. :0)
On another note...I stamped lastnight! And did a challenge too! Here is my entry into Ila's Highhopes blog candy. I think I like it. This is so out of my element. I don't usually use more than one kind of DP together. I see so many wonderful creations out there, but when I try...well to me it just looks messy and icky. I was lucky enough to have this great DP that I had bought off of Nancy awhile back. Enough babble...what do you think?

I love these stampsets from TAC. The butterfly is from the new mini and the sentiment is on the last page of the catty. I almost missed it and so glad that I ordered it. There are some great sentiments in the set. The inside of the card says...'to forget about your dreams'. As you can see I also too a stab at Beate's Thumping technique from a few weeks ago. I LOVE this technique. It is so pretty!!

Well, I am off to do some laundry. My darling daughter decided to dump 1/2 a bottle of cough sirup all over mommy lastnight! Yuck! Should have done the laundry lastnight...not too sure if it will come out of everything now...oh well.

Have a great Sunday!

{ Dream }

I managed to get in some stamp time lastnight. Well really...I had to! I needed to stamp a bday card for my Nephew who had a bday on the 7th. Yup...kinda behind. I of course had to masculine bday cards laying around that would be good. Not too sure this is okay, but it will have to do. I like it...but it may be a bit girly still.

It is hard to tell from the pic, but this is one of the new Disney Cuttlebug die/folders. Mickey's face is embossed on there too. I added some stickles to his eyes and used some chipboard for the sentiment ribbon slide. And of course I had to use some of my new dewdrops. These are actually silver metallic...though they look pearl in the photo.

This is a gift card holder with a Chapters card inside from him. I hope he likes it.

Okay I am off to make a cup of Tazo. I am tired tonight. I have started getting up at 5:45AM every morning so that I can workout before everyone is up. I finally decided that this is the only way I am going to get back onto a regular workout schedule. I am not a morning person, so this is a hugh deal for me. I have done 6 days a week for the past two weeks now. I am pretty proud of myself. AND!!! I have even done some jogging the past few mornings! Nothing major, but considering I have NEVER jogged in my life...well not on purpose anyway...I am quite excited. Only been about 4 mins or so, but hey, its something! Not too sure if I will do too much...can already feel it in my ankles and shins...yes, I am a big wimp! ;0)

Have a great evening and thanks for stoppin' by. :0)

{ Ahhhhh...Spring....}

It really feels like it here. The sun is shining brightly today and it is suppose to reach +14C here in Calgary on Sunday! We might have to have an egg hunt outside!! The girls are now on Spring Break, so we did our first family activity yesterday...took the girls to see Horton Hears a Who. It was cute, but went by really fast!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter. I am hoping to do some stamping this weekend and hopefully finish Eclipse. I am taking my time with this one since I have to wait until August for Breaking Dawn to come out!!

Not sure if I will get back to post again before Sunday, but I will leave you with another card I made this week...

I love my new Papertrey stamps. This is my new Little Lady set that I finally ordered! I know, I am a little behind on this one. ;0) I love this set though. I can't wait to play with it more. I took my inspiration from a sketch that Jen did many moons ago on her blog. I decided that I need to start making some bday cards. Lately, I have been doing more 'thinking of you' and 'just wanted to say hi' type cards and never have a bday card when I need one. So at least now I have a few on hand. I am hoping to get a bunch of RAKS out this week...I have been so behind on that. So be on the lookout...you might be one of the lucky ones! ;0)

Happy Easter Everyone!

{ Done...next...}

This was one lazy weekend! I pretty much spent the whole weekend reading
'New Moon'. I finished it yesterday. So before I go to the dentist today, I will be buying 'Eclipse'. I was worried that the second book would not be as good as the first one? No way! So good!! I can't wait to start on the next one. Then I will have to wait until August for the next one. :0( Oh well, I can read all 3 like a million more times before then. ;0)

Just thought I would share the other project I did with my ladies on Friday.

I just love these Tiny Treat Baskets. They are just too cute and quick to make.
Well, I am off to dentist again today...wish me luck. I am not looking forward to it and have been feeling quite sick since yesterday afternoon...so it should be a fun day...hopefully I don't get sick on the dentist!!

{ Seven weeks...but who's counting? }

That's right...7 weeks today I will be on a plane for Disneyland! Woohoo! Although, it will be a small plane. Hubby was looking at things online and found out which planes we will be taking. Apparently, we will be on a 70 seater for our first flight to Seattle. Yikes! Oh well. I think I have been on one before. I will be fine...I will be fine...I will be fine ;0)

Sorry that it took me awhile to post again. Busy working this weekend and then yesterday I was at the dentist. Yikes!! I was going in thinking I was getting 3 fillings...apparently the dentist had other plans! I ended up with 7 fillings and 5 needles later!! Lets just say it was a fairly painful experience...since the freezing did not take at first and I almost took out the dental assistant! Lets just say that I will be poppin' Advil like candy today!

Thought I would share the lastest creation I did for my youngest to take to a bday party this past weekend. I had finally bought myself a few Mickey stamps last week and El decided she wanted me to make a Mickey card. So here it is...

I got my inspiration for this one from the great card that I received from miss DottieK...check it out here. I love this Mickey stamp. I will definitely be using it a lot!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks for stoppin' by.

{ Hap-bee Day! }

A quick post today...almost time for work. Here was my entry for last weeks Mojo Monday...I forgot to post it though! Oh well...I still had fun with this one. This is one of the Bee images that I received from Miss DottieK. The background was done with my cuttlebug and then used some chalks to color in the images. The yellow strip was a bit too bold so I sponged on some black chalk. I really like this one. And I really love this sketch. I can definitely see myself using this one again.
I am gonna have to get busy stampin'...this is my last card to show you!! Yikes!

Have a great Wednesday! :0)

{ Is it spring yet? }

I was worried last week cause my mojo seemed to have taken a vacation. I think it is slowly coming alive again. I have a feeling moving into some spring colors and images is helping. And of course having some great new images...like Riley...helps! Okay, I am just lovin' this one! I guess we will say that this one is actually Riley's best gal, Sophie...although, I know it was not meant to be. But with bright pink boots on it just has to be Sophie. I am also loving these knock off dew drops from Michael's! So pretty, don't ya think?

It's gonna be a busy week here. I am working Monday, Wednesdy, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week! Don't feel too sorry for me. It's not like I work a full 8 1/2 hr day or anything. Usually only 5-7hrs.
The girls each have a Bday party to go to this weekend, so I need to make a few cards, but Daddy gets to take them to the parties. ;0)
Have a great Monday and thanks for stoppin' by. I will have another Riley for ya tomorrow! :0)

{ Lovin' this sketch }

I really love this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I actually did a couple, but this one is the one that turned out the best.

I used a stampset from my blog candy win from Maria in December. Love these flowers!! I also used some clear medallions on the bottom ones. I had won these as blog candy last year...I think...and had not used them yet. I am actually quite happy with the way this one turned out! I am thinkin' I might make a few more with this sketch. Thanks for the great sketch Julee!!

Well, I will make this a quick one. We are just on our way out the door to make a visit to the Dr. I have both kids home sick today!! Yikes! The oldest probably could have gone, but she now has this rash in a rather personal area and I don't want her scratching herself all day long! ;0) Besides that fact that I can decide if she sounds sexy or sounds like the devil!! Poor thing!

Hope you all have a great weekend! I am gonna try and get some projects done this weekend. I have been meaning to make a journal and I have some samples done for my class next week...as well as work on some DT stuff for Diana over at Scor-pal. So a busy weekend of stamping ahead! :0)
