{ Need a Good Read? }

Just a little new item I added to my blog tonight. If you are interested, I have listed all the books I have read this month. On the righthand side of my blog you will find a list of May's Reads. You can click each one to take you to the Authors website with a little blurb about each one. I highly recommend each one!

I am currently working on the Left Behind Series...just started it yesterday...so far? Thinkin' this one is gonna be interesting...a very intriguing story line...especially for those of us that are on the fence about religion and God.

To what, you ask? Well...it is now only 2 more sleeps until my big day. Surgery day!Woohoo...not! Anyway...I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be missing in action for the next week...give or take a few days. I am heading off to the hospital for some day surgery...having my Gall Bladder out... on Thursday and will not be posting for a bit...not that I have been real regular as of late anyway! ;0)

I will leave you with the final creation in my Wild Things collection. This one is my favorite...love this little bear. I can not remember where I picked up this color combo, but I really love it! I will definitely have to use it again(So Saffron, Sage Shadow and Kraft).

But yes, back to the Wild Things...here is number 4 in my 5 part series. Again the same sketch as the others. I do like this one...a little bold, but still like it.

Well, today was yet another cold and dreary day in Calgary. I sure hope things are gonna start warming and brightening up. I am getting might ticked with Mother Nature!!!

This post is a short one I am afraid...not feeling great tonight.

The moment you have all been waiting for...heehee...Scrap page #3!!
























I apologize for the lousy photo, but you get the idea. Trust me..it's much better lookin in person. ;0) This was a scrap page that I had created at a Cricut class I took lastyear at The Scrapbook Pantry. I decided to add some elements to it. I was not entirely sure that I liked it, as the photos are quite small, but in the end, I think I do like it now. I am going to try and do up another page maybe this week...you will have to stick around to see.

Be sure to drop in tomorrow, as I will be posting May's Christmas Card Challenge. Once again, I do not have a sample done up. I will get one posted by the end of the weekend though...I promise!!

Okay first off? Yes, I am an American Idol geek...and proud of it! Infact, our whole household is. Even our 6 and 7yr olds are. They have been watching along with us since the first top 12 episode. So the two of them and myself all let out a resounding ...

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!...

when Danny was voted off tonight. This was one of the songs he sang lastnight. And yes...I downloaded the studio version off of itunes! As well as this one...one of my favorites from this season. A sad, sad night...but like I told the girls...we will just have to wait until his cd comes out...cause we know it will happen! ;0)

Did you see what our temp is right now? Did ya? It is suppose to dip down to -1 tonight!! This is getting pathetic!

Okay...enough of that...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I did...once I got home from work! ;0) We all went to the Zoo once I got home. We received a notice in the mail that we could renew our passes at half price, so we took them up on it. We let our pass go last year, but at half price we thought...why not! It was actually a fun day...thought it might rain on us, but it held off. We got to see the new Koalas. They are just too cute! And we have some more Rays back. I could just sit and watch the Rays all day. They just look like they are flying. Now we just need some Sea Turtles and I would be very happy!

Speaking of Turtles...check out what I got for Mother's Day. I love Turtles! The only negative...it has no volume like the i-dog. Still cute though. :0)

Okay...onto a creation. Here are my Mother's Day cards I made for my Mom and Mother in-law.

This first one was my Mom's card. I so love this Happy Hopper image. Just too cute!

And here was my Mother In-laws card. I used Julee's MojoMonday #65 from last week. I was actually quite happy with the way this one turned out!

{ Nice RAK! }

Quick post, as my girls will be home from school soon!

This first RAK is my April OCS from Marisa. This is such a cool card. I forgot to ask her, but that embellishment on the front almost looks and feels like a stamp...very cool. Thanks again, Marisa. If you interested in joining the OCS be sure to check out Teri's blog for all the details!

Lastly, this was my April Aloha RAK that I received from Monique. Monique and I swapped some emails and she learned about my Disney love...as she does too...and sent me all these goodies. I absolutely love this card!! It is so simply yet is just perfect! I am gonna have to case this card...well the Mickey head anyway, cause I don't have this particular background stamp. I can not wait to dive into all these yummy Disney embellishments...oh and check out the awesome Disney album she made! Thanks again Moe!

{ I'll take thunder over snow anyday! }

And that's what we have today! It is currently raining and we are expected to get some thunder and lighting today as well. It is so much better than s***! Sorry...don't want to say the 's' word too much...Mother Nature might hear me. ;0)

Here is another card in my Wild Thing collection. Not too sure about this one. I tried to find some DP with grey in it to match my bunny. This was the only one I could find. I am not overly thrilled with the colorcombo on this one. It's okay.

Well, I am off to clean the house...real quick...do some laundry and then hopefully spend the day stampin'!! Since I have to work on Mother's Day...today is my Mother's Day. ;0)

{ Love ya, Honey }

8 years ago today I was on a beach in Maui(Makena Cove) gettin' married to my best friend. Happy Anniversary Honey! And even though we have only been married for 8 years, we have actually been together for almost 19 years! Yup...livin' in sin for 11 years before we finally got hitched. And I was 4 month preggers at the time too!! But that's a whole other story. ;0)

Sorry that the pic is not the best...it is a pic of a photo.

And here is hubby's Anniversary card...which took me forever, since my youngest decided to make cards for EVERYONE at the same time. She got 4 cards done in the time it took me to make this one!! Gotta love her. ;0) I actually used my Cricut to cut out the Aloha sentiment! My first one! The white cs is a little too white, but oh well.

{ Spring? Really? }

Well, I certainly hope so. Let us all cross our fingers that it is actually here!! It has been nice and sunny for the past few days now. Although, the temperature is still not where I would like it...but I think I need to move far, far away before that would ever truly happen! ;0)

A quick post for ya...off to take my oldest to a bowlin' bday party today.























Here is card #2 in my series of Wild Thing cards I made last week. I love this little monkey...too cute. The DP was a little giftie from my friend Dianne. I like this card...not too sure I love the way I dirtied up the strip of Really Rust on the bottom and that bow? How pathetic is that? Oh well. Over all? Not too bad.
