{ Stamp n Scrap Hawaii 1st Challenge }

I think I just made it under the wire on this one! I have been trying all week to get this one done, but summer has finally arrived here in Calgary and I have been spending lots of time outside and of course that makes for little time for stampin. But here it is...

I was so excited to see what the girls over at Stamp n Scrap Hawaii had up their sleeves for the first challenge. Here is my take on the first sketch challenge. I just love this image from PC Crafters...Penguins in Paradise. And I got to use one of my new flowers from All Natural Accents.

Oh and I almost forgot...the answer to this weeks question. What is the Area Code for Hawaii...808...I had no idea...I cheated off everyone else! ;0)

Thanks for stoppin' by today and hope you are having some awesome summer weather today whereever you are!

{ Fun with Fred, SU! and SFYTT }

Huh? I know...these titles need some help. ;0)

But, yes...I played with a sketch from SFYTT, a new SU color and some Fred, She Said flowers! I have seen these flowers on Jen's blog for the last little while, but finally took a look at the blog and store...WOW! These flowers are amazing, considering they are just paper! So I thought I would test out one of the freebies from the blog and see how I like them before I make my first purchase. I think I would like the black and white ones...that way I can color them with my Copics to match anything I might need.

I also got to play with the new SU Incolor - Rich Razzleberry with matching ribbon! Thanks to Shannon, all the Calgals got a little sample to try out...she is a very smooth business woman! ;0) I will SO be buying more of this awesome color!!!

And I also tested out THIS sketch over at ihearttostamp.

Thanks for droppin' in today and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

{ Can you help? }

I have a friend of the family who is walking the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. She is walking 60km in two days and doing this in support of her two Aunts and also my MIL who is currently fighting Breast Cancer. She desperately needs more supporters in her efforts. If you feel you are in a position to help, it would be greatly appreciated. You can find Annette's page here. And again...any amount would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

{ High Hopes Polkadot Challenge }

That about says it all...

I decided to play with this weeks High Hopes Challenge. Sorry for the blurry pic...but I am just too lazy to go down and take another one! ;0) Well, this one definitely has lots of Polka Dots. I would have never thought of a boy card with a Polka Dot theme, but I happened to have this image already colored and decided to use him. I used Swiss Dots, Tiny Bubbles and Spots and Dots embossing folders with this one. Very simple, but a great boy card if I ever need one!

Okay, I am off to sell my kids to the Circus!! Just kidding...is it really only the second week of Summer Holidays?? ;0)

Thanks for stoppin' by...

{ Two in one Day?! }

I know, I know...what's wrong with me?! Well...since I did 3 cards yesterday all for challenges...I thought I might as well get one posted. This was for FFF Sketch#1 over at the Greeting Farm. I am not 100% sure of my flower placement...but over all I think I like the way this one turned out.

Okay...back tomorrow with another Challenge card!

{ RAK catchups! }

Now that I have my camera working again, it's time to get caught up on the RAK's I have received.

First off is a lovely card I received from Saskia for the One Card Swap over at Teri's blog. This one was very different from anything I had ever seen before. Thanks again Saskia!

Next was this RAK from Mary for the Aloha RAK. See the little magnet on the right? Very pretty...thanks again Mary!

Next is my June OCS from Joni. Joni saw on my blog that I was a Disney fan and made me not only this card but this cute post-it note holder with mini pen inside! I love it, thanks Joni!

Next was this 'Get Well' RAK I received from my friend Dianne. See that? She even included a gift card for Bath and Body works!! Yippee!!! Our first store opened up here in Calgary yesterday! I am holding off until the new one closest to me opens up in August, but we will see if I can hold off that long! Thanks, Dianne. :0)

And lastly is my candy winning from Nancy. I have yet to open these yet...but soon!! Thanks, Nancy.

Well...I think that was it...hopefully I didn't miss any! Thanks again ladies. :0)

{ Having Fun? }

Wish I was today. Having some tummy issues this morning...hopefully they will pass soon.
It is a mix of cloud/sun/rain today so far. The beginning of the week is looking kinda iffy too...like a high of 10C on Wednesday!! What the... Oh well...I have to work on Wednesday anyway. ;0)
Remember my post a few weeks ago about my new digi find...PC Crafters? Well here is a creation using the Penguins in Paradise set I bought. I actually made another card first but did not get a pic of it due to my camera issues off and on lately. I love the look on this little guys face! Almost a look of terror...almost. Too cute!
Well, I am off to spend the day in my stamp room. I think I might work on a few challenges today. Hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stoppin' by...

BONNIE!!

Woohoo Bonnie. Bonnie send me a quick email with your addy or maybe let me know if you will be home next week and I could even drop it off for ya. Thanks again to everyone for playing along. And here is my samples...finally. I actually did get them finished off last week...just been having camera issues, so did not get the pics posted. I decided to go with a Gate Fold.
