I hope so, cause I have a big announcement today! As some of you may or may not know by now...if you have already been over to Jen's blog today. I am officially taking over Jen's

MONTHLY ALOHA RAK GROUP. Yup, that's right. Now if you are not familar with the Aloha RAK Group you can simply email me and I will send you the complete details...since I am not that computer savy and have not figured out how to get all the details here on my blog, but soon! The sign ups begin today and you have until September 30th to email me with your name and address. I will match up all the RAK'rs for the month and email you with your RAK'n partner on October 1st. Remember...your RAK is to be a handmade item(card). It is totally up to you if you wish to send along other goodies as well, but it is not mandatory. I have been involved with this RAK group, almost from the begining, and it is a fun group. So please, won't you join us?

Have a great day and I look forward to hearing from all you RAK'rs!

{ Two Challenges in One! }

When one is busy...you do two challenges in one! This month for our CalGal Challenge, Allison challenged us to make a Snowman card. And I also wanted to play with Jen's LCWC #9. Although, looking back at the challenge now...I see that I missed the second part of the challenge, which was to use buttons!! Oh well. I love this little snowman(retired TAC). It is a very simple image, but so cute!

On another note...I got my van back tonight!! Woohoo!!! You have no idea how happy I am right now!! Of course I am $840 poorer now, but I have my van back!!

Okay...I am off to have a strawberry daiquiri with hubby now. ;0)
Thanks for stoppin' by!

{ Life is too short... }

And so are the days! I can not believe it has been almost a week since I posted. Again...sorry. I am thinking this is gonna be the norm. Just seems like there is no time for stamping, or when there is...I am just too tired and not feeling creative...at all!! And we aren't as busy as some families, but busier than what is normal for us. And just lots of stresses right now. Or shall I say...I am stressing about lots of things. Not that they are stress, just that I am a little worry wort. ;0)
Anyway here is another creation from last week. This one was for a sketch challenge, but for the life of me I can not remember which one. I looked through my usual sketches, but can't find it. If anyone knows what this one was from, please let me know!

For this one, I used a colored image...from my stash. It came out alright. Nothing spectaular, but a nice card just the same. :0)

Hope you all have a great weekend. And thanks for stoppin by.

{Fevers, Candy winnings and RAK's}

How's that for a creative title? Sorry, not feeling so creative today. It was a looooonnnnnggggg night. Our oldest was sick with a fever lastnight and she does not deal with fevers well...at all! Some of you may have this same problem. Anytime she has a fever we know we are in for an interesting experience. She usually is hard to control. She tends to act very strange. Lots of confusion, uttering jibberish and crying. And lastnight was no exception. She even had some uncontrolable shaking which freaked her and me out too! She said she was having falling dreams all night too...which did not help either. But she is better today. Although, I did just give her some more Advil...the fever is starting to return, but not too bad at this point. Just a lazy day in our house today.
Okay onto better stuffs...
Thought it was high time to show off some of the Candy winnings and RAK's I have received over the past few weeks.
This first one is from my friend Catherine. I had sent Catherine a card a few weeks ago and this was what she sent to me! I have seen some of these necklaces on her blog, but now I have one of my own. Although, my girls seem to have stolen it! Thanks again, Catherine. :0)

This next one is actually my August Aloha RAK from Teri. Not only did she include this awesome card and Cuttlebug folder, but check out the cute altered mint container! So cute. Thanks again, Teri!

And now onto all my recent candy winnings! First off was my challenge win over at Jen's blog for her store LittleC's. I won this adoreable High Hopes stamp. Thanks again, Jen!

Then I was lucky enough to be picked by Dawn for this cute camping set by SUI. I have not opened this one yet, but hope to maybe later this week. Thanks again Dawn for picking my name!! :0)

And lastly, I was lucky enough to win one of the random draws over at SCS for the Verve Anni-Verve-sary Challenge. I won my choice of a $15 set. This was my choice. As you can see, I have used the sentiment, but have not played any further yet...yet. I am hoping to play with this one this week too! Thanks again, Julee!

And now I will leave you with a little creation of mine from last week. I finally decided to try out one of those cute little circle Nestie cards I have seen everyone doing. And I also used my first EVER rub-on! Yup...that's right. Finally! It came out a little off center, but I really like the final result.
Hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stoppin' by and listening to my looonnnggg ramblings today. :0)

{Happiness is knowing you}

Really it is! You wouldn't know it by my lack of posting lately though...sorry. It has just been crazy busy and I have been stressed and just not feeling the mojo...at all!! Between work, school, ballet, cheerleading and now...car troubles. Let's just say I have not been feeling much like stamping. Don't get me wrong...I want to, but I am just not feeling it. Hopefully this weekend I can find some time and energy. ;0)

Anyway, here is a creation I did awhile back and forgot to post...at least I don't think I posted it...if I did...well just pretend you haven't seen it before. ;0) Nothing spectacular, but it's cute.
I will try and take some pics this weekend of some RAKs that I have received lately and a few new creations I made last week.
Thanks for stoppin' by and stickin' with me. :0)

{ Take Joy in the Little Things }

A new creation...finally! Here is my first...well second actually...Magnolia creation. The first one I did, I actually ruined. I might share it at a later date...maybe. ;0)
I love this image. I stole this one off of Shannon at our last Calgal gathering in August. It is a very simple card, but I loved coloring this image. This was my Mom's bday card...hope you like it Mom. :0)
Tomorrow is the big day. El first day of Ballet. She is mighty excited. School seems to be going very well, so I am hopefull that Ballet goes well too. See the parents are not allowed to stay...so wish us luck! She is going by herself...without her sister...so this is a big step for her...and us too! The girls seem to be happy with school, class and teachers thus far...but it is only day 2. Just hope we can get the busing issues all worked out. The first week is always a bit of a gong show. It is just a little frustrating seeing as our school is one of the lastest to start and finish their day. So with busing, the girls are not home until...well yesterday it was 4:45pm and today was 4:35pm. We are hoping for around 4:30 each day. The girls ballet and cheerleading start at 5:15pm so we are gonna be pressed for time! Shove a sandwich down them and off we go! But I am sure that we are not the only ones in this situation. I is just a bit of an adjustment period right now. ;0) Okay...enough of my whining for one day.
Thanks for stoppin' by and I have a few RAKs and Candy winnings to show off in my next post.

{ First day of School! }

Can you believe that? Well, I know for some of you, your kids already started awhile ago...but I still can't believe it! Where did summer go?? And it was mighty chilly this morning too. :0(

Just a quick post today as I just got home from work and now off to workout and have a shower before the girls get home.
First off here they are this morning. Em is now in Grade 2 and El is in Grade 1. It was not as tough as last year...for me...but I still had some issues. El is now in Grade 1, so she is gone full days just like her sister!! Where does the time go?? They were both very excited to get back to school today...they were even up before I had to wake them. I am sure that will not be the case by next week though. ;0)

And I have one more for ya. We got the girls in some activities this year. Em is going to be doing Cheerleading and El is going into Ballet. So we went off and picked up her ballet outfit this weekend. She is just too cute!! She wore it all day yesterday...including the ballet slippers too!

Okay...off to workout.

I will try and post something new tomorrow...I will try! ;0)
