{ Friend... }

Just a quick post as I am off to work in a few minutes. But I had to share my newest creation! I got a chance to play with some new paper I picked up at the Scrapbook Pantry last week. It is called Floraide 9up from the Flourish line from Stamp-it Austrailia. Love, love, love it!! This image is from a 12 X 12 sheet that I cut. There are 9 individual images. I then took some Barely Banana ink and a blender pen and added some yellow highlight to the center of the flower, matted it, stamped Friend to the inside and finally added some silver Dewdrops. So simple, but I SO do love it! Thanks Nancy for showing me this paper!
Hope you all have a great day and thanks for stoppin' by!

{ Any Suggestions? }

Since I have changed my template and now since I place my photos to the left...I can not get my spacing to work! It looks fine when I compose my post, but once it it is published...there is just so much space between the photo and my post!! I drives me crazy! Maybe I need a wider template again?? Any suggestions?

...of little things. How true is that? Here is my first Gruffies creation! I just love this image. I am a big lilac lover and had to have this one when I saw it. The sentiment is a PTI stamp. I used some DP that I think I bought off of Nancy...just loved the soft colors. And I used some of my new fuzzy brads that I picked up at the Scrapbook Pantry.

Just thought I might as well share a pic of my Lilac bush too. I took this on the weekend. They are just starting to open up now...woohoo.

Have a great Monday all!

{ Man...I need some drugs! }

I have no idea what I have done, but man I am in pain!
My neck/upperback/shoulders/upper arms are killing me. I had a hard time sleeping last night. Think I will get hubby to bring me home some Robaxicet tonight if it is still like this later this afternoon. The girls have a play date today, so my plan is to just sit in the backyard and watch them most of the day. Okay...that's my whining for the day. ;0)

Here is a card I made last week using some awesome Plumeria paper I picked up at the Scrapbook Pantry here in Calgary. The paper is downstairs and I can't remember the name of it...Nancy, can you help me out? I just love this paper though! I did a faux Mother of Pearl finish...without the added color ink... on the main card layer to match the pearl in the DP. I really am quite happy with this one.

Hope you all have a fabulous June 1st!!

{ A beautiful day in the neighborhood }

That's what it is here today! We are suppose to maybe have some thunderstorms tonight, but they said we would lastnight too and it never happened...so here's hoping!

Thought I would share the second card that I managed to make during the last Calgal meeting. I used the same DP as the last one...since I only brought along one sheet and matching cardstocks and embellishments to go with it. ;0) This one is very simple. I used a sentiment stamp from TAC and borrowed some chocolate grosgrain ribbon from Nancy...thanks, Nancy! Actually I changed the layer with the ribbon when I got home...I like it better now.

After today, my girls only have 17 more days of school left! Wow this year has flown by. But we are looking forward to summer. We are ready for those lazy days of summer. How about you?

And if anyone is interested...I think we may have gotten rid of our gopher. We have stopped putting out the birdseed and I think that has helped. After cleaning up the poop the other day there has been no new poop...here's hoping. I feel bad for the birds...but they still have their birdbath.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

{ Once in a lifetime... }

...you meet someone who changes everything. Is that not the best stamp ever? This was my first creation from last weeks Calgal's evening. This is a stamp that Nancy has and she let me borrow it to make this card. I am so happy with the way this one turned out. I am thinkin' I might give this one to my in-laws for an Anniversary card next month.

Well, it is a nice bright and sunny day today. The wind is a bit chilly, but it is getting there.

I am off to clean up gopher poop from my backyard. Anyone what to join me?? Or if anyone has any brilliant ideas on how to get rid of a gopher... please do let me know!
