{ Another wonderful summer day! }

What a beautiful morning here! It is gonna be a hot one though. I think it is suppose to reach around 30C today...that's about 86F. My youngest has a bday party to go to today and they had another one yesterday. But I think once we get back from that one this afternoon that we will be pulling out the pool or the sprinkler.

Okay onto another teachers gift...the last one, I promise! This one I used some old Michaels DP. I actually quite like this one. Thanks to Shannon, I have fallen in love with this taffeta ribbon from SU. She showed it to us once at one of our Calgal gatherings. I have the Basic Grey, Chocolate and have now ordered the White and Vanilla. Love it!

Well, hope everyone has a great Sunday! Enjoy!

{ Lets Hear it for Summer!! }

Anyone else as excited as I am that summer is finally here?! It was a great day today and this weekend is suppose to be hot, hot, hot! Bring it on baby!

Just thought I would share another teacher's gift I made last week. I just love this template...it is so fast and easy. And just so you know all 6 cards are the same...I was just too lazy to take them all out to take the photo!

Some of you out there will be happy to know that I have finally had some of my Disney pics printed off...so be on the lookout for some more Scrapbook pages!!

Hope you all have a wonderful summery weekend!!

{ Last Day of School...Woohoo!! }

It is an exciting day today at our house...the last day of school. No more getting up early, no more set schedules for awhile. Love it! The kids...and us too...have already been getting into that mode for the past few days. It has been hard to get the kids to go to bed at their regular time. It was a bit of a struggle getting them out of bed yesterday. The were up talking the night before and would NOT go to sleep. Oh well. Tonight they get to sleep together and stay up as long as they want chatting. ;0)

I have been busy the past few days trying to get teachers gifts done. Of course, I left them all to the last minute! I really need to work on that and get more organized.

So here was the first one. I saw this template on Allison's blog a few weeks ago during her box/bag challenge. I like it, but it is pretty big and I ran out of time to get more cards done to fit into it. It is really meant for 12 cards and I only had 6 in it...oh well. I hope her teacher likes it. I decided to try some monogram cards for something different. It's okay. I am not a fan of monogram cards myself, so this is probably why I am not lovin' this one all that much.

I just realized the other day that I did not have a challenge in the month of June! I know that everyone will be busy during the summer, so I think I might only do one during the summer and then get back at it on a regular basis again in September. So be on the lookout next week for my Summer challenge. Have a great day and thanks for droppin' by. :0)

{ Welcome Summer! }

That's right! Tomorrow is the official start of summer and only 4 more days of school left for the girls. Woohoo! I am soooo ready for summer to begin. We have 3 out of 4 camping trips booked and I am ready to go! Well...not really ready. We still need to pop open the trailer and test everything, charge the battery, clean and air out the sleeping bags...so lots to do before we start, but I can almost taste it!

Last week was our Calgal gathering for the month of June and it was my challenge this month. I chose 'Surf and Sand'. Of course I was a little behind on the challenge and did it the morning of our get together! So I kinda took it literally. ;0) Here is my 'Surf and Sand'...

This was an old image that I had colored eons ago. The background paper is sandpaper that I sponged until it was the color I wanted. I quite like it. Simple but a good masculine card to have on hand.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Hoping to get a fire in or two.

{ Drum roll please... }

Okay...the moment you have all been waiting for...well a few of you anyway. ;0)

The unveiling of my very first 12 X 12 scrapbook page! Okay be gentle with me. I struggled with this one. Kept going between whether to to a 12 X 12 or 8 X 8. But I tweaked it and finally caved. The balloon banner at the top I picked up at the
Scrapbook Pantry about a month ago. Once I added the Irridecent Ice to it...well I liked it much better. Even hubby likes it. He thinks we should frame it though and put it up on the wall. Who knows maybe I will. This was the only time we saw Mickey our whole trip...other than the parades! And there was only 2 people in line!!

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Father's Day. Unfortunately, my hubby has to work, but we are planning on having some Barbecued Salmon, Macaroni Salad and Garlic Cheese toast. Yummy!

{ Challenge slacker }

That is what I am. I am meeting with the Calgals(see sidebar) tonight and we are now doing a challenge each month. This month was my challenge and I have not even done it yet! Guess what I am going to do after I clean the kitchen??!! I am so bad!

So here is a quick post for ya. Here is the second project I did with my stamp class ladies for June. I have had this template for over a year now and have not tried it. So I thought it was high time. This is a really fun card to make. The only thing...is if you are sending this one to a non-cardmaker, they may not have any idea on how to open it! ;0)This is a sliding pop-up card done by Diane. I just loved her card too. I used my new background stamp on this one. When I saw Beates tutorial for the thumping technique awhile back...well, I just had to have it. So of course we used the technique on this too.Well I am off to clean and then create. Hope you all have a great weekend.

{ Gel card...should have been a puddle card! }

I know...I am getting a bit sarcastic with the rain comments now.
Here is the card that I did with my group of ladies for June. We made a gel card. I just love this SU set for these gel cards...so fun. I wanted to use Primas on these but did not have enough for everyone, so I used my daisy punch...which has been neglected since I bought it!!

I also wanted to share this great RAK I received from Dottie this week. This was a thank you for the Challenge she won recently. Thanks again Dottie for the images and hope you are having fun with all the new Disney goodies!!Well, I am off to work soon. Hope you all have a great day!
