The first pic is of Tinkerbell at the Maingates...then the Boardwalk at California Adventure Park...all I can say about that Ferris Wheel is...OMG!! That thing scared the crap out of me!! The red cages are stationary, but the others all move on a track as the wheel goes around. We knew this going onto it, but I had no idea how much they moved!! I am terrified of wide open heights like that as it is, but my little one was crying and I had to try and not look too terrified myself. Never again will you get me on that thing!! Never! The next photo is of the Matterhorn. This was the first big ride we took the girls on. El(my youngest) was scared the whole time, but the rest of the trip she insisted she loved it!! Next we have my FAVORITE ride! The Tower of Terror. We were planning on taking the girls on it, but then changed our minds. We waited until the very last day...kept debating on whether we should scare the crap out of them or not ;0) We ended up not taking them on it, but hubby and I took a turn on it. Just wish we had done it everyday. Love, love, love this one!! And finally my two Princesses. One of the Disney photographers had them do this pose at the maingates on our way into the park for the firsttime.
Okay, quick question for all you scrappers out there. I am gonna try my hand at scrappin' pretty much for the first time. I have done a few 8 1/2 X 11 pages, but nothing really. What would you suggest I start with. Should I go for a 12 X 12 or maybe an 8 X8. I am a little intimidated by a 12 x 12. What are your thoughts?
I will be back soon...

Welcome back. Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. I image the girls were suprised - when did you end up telling them.
As for page size - go 12x12 - that is what I started my wedding album with and it isn't that bad once you get going. I've taken a design course on scrapping now and I'll share what I've learned with you. With all the paper and stamps and pictures you have - 12x 12 will be a breeze.
Looks like you had a ball. I would do a 12x12 because you have so many photos and that way you can really scrap your trip. It will be a wonderful momento. Glad you had fun.

Welcome Home! I know how hard it is to leave so much fun. Give us all the details. You need a 12 X 12 album. Don't be surprised if you even need 2. You just have to think of it as a big card, layers and mats and the photos are you images. It's not hard and you have great talent with your cards. One thing to keep in mind, organize the photos. Decide which photos your going to scrap first then print them. If your going to print all your photos then put them in order and in an album according to days and events. Much easier to scrap trust me. It's suppose to be fun and don't stress. Go online and look at layouts - two peas in a bucket - type in Disney 12X12 pages to get ideas. It'll come together nicely. I know I love to scrap and sorry I rambled on - I just get so excited. So looking forward to seeing your first pages. The girls look adorable. :)
welcome home!
Welcome back! Sounds like a fabulous trip! OMG Tower of Terror scared the crap out of me...haha! Last year Chloe who wasn't quite 8 yet, wanted to go on it...I didn't...but HOW could I NOT go and she did??? I didn't realize it was a little up and down and opening the doors...omg...NEVER again will I do that ride...you are crazy!! hahaha!
Yes...I did miss you! Glad your home and happy that you had a good time. I haven't really gotten into the scrapping myself so I have no words of advice for you. I'm sure no matter what you come up with it will be great!!!
Happy Mother's Day!
Glad you had a good time! I like the 12 x 12 because you can get lots of pics on there! IF you took 500 pics, it might be a better choice.
Oh, welcome back - yep, I missed ya! I am so glad you all had such a wonderful time - your girls are just so stinkin' cute! Were they surprised??
As for scrapbooking, go 12x12 because you will find that once you get started, you will love it! I started right with them and never looked back! I have some great Disney layouts I will send you via email so you can get some ideas and I also owe you some Disney laser cuts which I will get in the mail in the next few days! Glad you are back! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
Glad you're back, Tracy. I DID miss you! Glad you had fun, though. Love that pic of your girls. So cute! =)
Looks like lots of fun!!! Welcome back!
I think the scrapbook size depends on how many photos you have to scrap and the size of the photos. I can see the wisdom in a 12x12 when you have a whole lot to scrap about for one book. That's my two cents.
:-)
Thanks for sharing this pics, Tracy! We haven't taken our kids there yet, and the 1st time I went there, I was 19 with my husband (boyfriend back then). Brings back memories..... there wasn't any "Tower of Terror" at that time... is that the elevator ride? Well, I'm glad to hear that you all had an awesome time.... the pic of the girls show how happy they are to be there.
As for scrapbooking... oh girl.. it's totally up to you as to how much space you want to hold your pics and embellishments. I started using 8-1/2 x 11 in the beginning, only because it was cheaper, purchased sheet protectors, and used standard 3-ring binders. But, now I decided to switch to 12 x 12, and I've converted all my 8-1/2 x 11 to 12 x 12 by just sticking them on a larger 12 x 12 sheet, and now I can journal more. At least I had the chance to enlarge. KWIM!?
Here's another thought for ya.... how about Digital Scrapbooking?! So much quicker.. you can use any size.. and make a DVD slide show for all to enjoy. hmmmmm.... that's what I have been doing now a days.
Hope you are able to decide, and can't wait to see what you come up with. Glad to hear that you are home.
Big Hugs n' Aloha,
Jen
