{ Tampering }

For those of you who have been enjoying my music selections...I have removed them due some tampering of my selections. I am not sure how it was done, but it is kind of sad really. So for the time being I have removed the entire list. :0(

{ I'm back...and I've been tagged! }

Yup, back from our camping trip. It was great! I have had my shower and doing laundry and ready to head out again...if it was'nt for darn working for a livin'!! Quite honestly I could live in the tent trailer forever!! I love traveling and camping. I will post some pics from the trip tomorrow for ya.



I got back and read through my 280+ emails and still working on getting through all the blog updates I missed! But while I was away I was tagged by Cindy. I must list 7 unknown facts about myself...which is gonna be a tough one for me...then tag 7 other people and leave a comment on their blogs to let them know that they have been tagged. Ready?

1. I just received my new SU Fall & Winter Catalogue and LOVE it!!! My favorite and must have set? Yes, I knew as soon as I saw it! That would be Illuminations...but also Garden Whimsy! Love, love, love them!

2. I was in the school band from grade 7 through grade 12. I played all of the following...some for not that long others many years...Oboe, French Horn, Tuba, Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, and Drums.

3. I was born with jet black hair then it turned blonde then when I was about 7 my mom had it all cut off and it turned brown.

4. I have a mole on the bottom of my foot...I know weird.

5. My hubby and I have been together for 17 years but only married for 6...yup livin' in sin for 11 years! ;0)

6. Strongly dislike Tom Cruise and always have...have always found him extreemly unattractive and very creepy...sorry gals ;0)

7. While camping this week...went for a little hike with the girls, but they tuckered out so turned around...later found out the same trail was closed that same day because of a bear!!! Fate??

{ Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge }

My girls were invited to a Bday party with only a few days notice. So I thought why not combine the card I needed for the party with Beate's Sketch Challenge!? I made another one that I will share with you tomorrow. The first one I thought was not right for a 4 year old. This one maybe a bit old too, but I still like it. I have had this DP for awhile now and was so scared to use it!! It's just so pretty ;0) Well here it is. What do ya think?

I actually really love this card! I was just thinking that a OSW would look really nice with this paper. But then again it's nice to be able to see the full butterfly too.

{ Sunny Friday }

That's what we have here today! It is soooo nice...I am lovin' it! Hope it is nice and sunny where you are.

Lastnight was my final club night. 2 of my ladies were unable to make it so it was a small group. I was a little disorganized lastnight, but I hope they had fun. I made these little Explosion Boxes(with a little baggie of eyelets, new Ice Brads and some Hodge Podge pieces) with a matching 3x3 card. They also received 1 sheet of each of the new '08 In Colors. And they also each received a stampset. I hope they enjoyed all the goodies ;0)

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Only 3 more days of school left and then we are off camping again! Woohoo!! :0)

{ One Sheet Wonder Revisited }

I was a member of a stamp club a little over a year ago instructed by my friend Nancy. One of the projects we did was the One Sheet Wonder. I loved it!! Then last fall I joined a OSW swap. Since then I have not really done anything with them. Now I have my own stamp club and tomorrow is our final meeting. So I decided to show my ladies the OSW. I will make for a fun relaxing evening. I love the OSW because anyone can do it. Very simple yet very productive in that you can end up with anywhere from 6-12 cards from one sheet depending on the template you use. The one I will be using will end up with 10 cards. I did up a couple of sample lastnight. These will be the sketches that we will do up tomorrow. If anyone is interested in using the template I used for these cards, just send me off an email I will forward you a copy of the template that Nancy supplied me with...thanks again Nancy!! You can also check out SCS for lots of different templates.

Here is one I did after returning from our camping trip this weekend. This is my attempt at SCS Sketch Challenge 128. It is not too bad...I think I am happy with this one. What do ya think?

{ First Camping Trip of the Season! }

What a weekend! We got out for our first camping trip of the year in our new tent trailer! We had lots of fun despite the rain. Lets just say the trailer had a good testing out. ;0) Here are a few of my favorite pics of the weekend...

I managed to get down to my stamp room yesterday after we got back...I was going through stamp withdrawl ;0) I will post something new later today.

{ Beate's Sketch Challenge continues and sick kids! }

I know that you are probably wanting something new, but I really love these sketches that Beate has had lately. So here is another one...I promise to move on though ;0)

On another note...we have another sick one in the house now. Em was sick last week with a nasty stomach flu and now El has it. She has been vomiting for 2 days not eating. I finally just got about 4 or 5 bites of toast in her, so we will see if it stays down. I feel so bad for her...it is pretty violent. We are planning our first trip camping in the new trailer this weekend too!! I so hope she is on the road to recovery now. Em turned the corner rather quickly so here's hoping the same happens for El!! So needless to say there has not been much stamping around here this week. I am hoping to maybe get something done this afternoon while she is resting, but if not I will be back on Monday with something.

{ Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge }

This weekends Sketch Challenge on Beate's blog was a Gate Card. I have always wanted to try one. Now was the time! This one was a lot of fun. One thing about this card is that you *must* do the inside as well. Every card I make, the first thing that hubby does is look inside! And almost always I never do anything on the inside. So this one is for him as well as myself ;0)

On another note...our oldest Emily, discovered her first loose tooth yesterday. She had been complaining about her tooth for a little while, but I just kinda ignored it...bad mommy!! Well she is quite excited and now it is non-stop talking about the tooth!! But pretty exciting ;0)

{ Diana's Starbox }

I finally found some time to make one of the Starboxes over at Scor-pal . This was a fun little box to make. I will definitely try doing some more. This one measures 5" tall. Thanks Diana for the great tutorial!!Be sure to check out Beate's new Sketch Challenge for this weekend. I can't wait to play with this one. I have been wanting to try one of these gate cards for awhile now. Now I have an excuse ;0)

{ Bad Mother Nature, Bad }

Wow!! We got hit with a major storm lastnight here in Calgary. I soooo wish I had some pics to show you. We were actually out when it hit. We had gone to our daughter's new school for a Kindergarten registration meeting. During the meeting the Vice Principle came in to ask if anyone had parked their car in the teachers parking lot, cause you were'nt getting out! It was totally flooded halfway up the doors. The water was coming into the school. The gym floor was half covered in water too! It took us quite awhile to make our way home. Most of the major intersections were flood so bad that cars were actually floating down the roads. I have never seen it this bad out here in our area before!! Thank god we made it home when we did though. Our oldest was complaining all night that her stomach was hurting, but we thought it was just that she was bored and wanted to go home. Well about 10 mins after we got home she threw up! Thank god it did'nt happen at the school or worse, in the van on the way home!! But she is fine this morning.

After all that rain lastnight...and now we have a heavy rainfall warning for the city of Calgary today!! It's a mess. I called the school to make sure the busses are okay for today. They said they had not heard anything, but we will see. It just might take her 2 hrs instead of 1hr to get to school today ;0)

{ Beate's Sketch Challege continues...}

I loved Beate's last Sketch Challenge so much, I did another creation today! Here it is...what do ya think?

I actually quite like this one. I got to use my new 'Do the Hula' set...which is retiring this year. This card actually was done using Taken by Teal and Tempting Turquoise. The photo looks like blues for some reason. I used my Sakura Gel Glitter Pen and did some faux eyelets around the scallops and outlined the black circle punches too. I also added some glitter to the inside of all the flowers on the shirt and the background surfboards. Then of course had to add some Cuttlebug swirls for some wave action. ;0)

{ Beate's Sketch Challenge }

I finally got a chance this morning to play with Beate's weekend Sketch Challenge. Once again, I really like this one. I really am partial to square sketches for some reason. Although, this one I made larger than I normally would. This one measures 5 1/4" square. I think I would like to try this sketch with some smaller designs...maybe a 3" square would be fun! Anyway, what do you think?

I love this one by, Toni. This is such a beautiful card! This is using the retiring hostess set 'Measure of a Life'. Toni does some beautiful creations with this set. I was lucky enough to receive one of her creations last year in a RAK group we both were a part of on CST(a yahoo group for Canadians).
