{ July's Happiness Giveaway Challenge }

Yup, it's that time again. Well I have finally decide on the Challenge. I don't have a sample yet, but once I have mine done I will add it into this post for you to see. This one is a Challenge of my own. Your challenge is to use this SCS Sketch:

This card is to be for a Man in your life! Yup...a man card with this sketch! This is something that I always struggle with. I am no good at making masculine cards...quite frankly I suck at it! So you are helping me out by giving me some ideas for the cards I have to make this year.

{ RAK and last June Entry to share }

{ Back to the real world :0( }

We are back from a wonderful weekend of camping. The weather was outstanding and we enjoyed sometime in the lake(Gull Lake, AB and Sylvan Lake, AB). We are hoping to get back out there again in 2 weeks!

{ Jen's Sketch Challenge }

I know that I have been MIA for the past week...it's hard with hubby on holidays now and the nice weather. I did however, manage to get a card done. I thought I would get in on Jen's Challenge this week. I have never done a Matchbook card. I liked it, but I did find it a bit of a challenge...just me though ;0) Thanks for the challenge Jen...I will do more of these I am sure!

{ Got a question }

I am looking to find a new site for downloading music. Where do you get your music from? Do you recommend it? Please leave me a comment. We currently don't have a MP3 player...we just download WMA files and burn them when we want a copy for the van or truck...otherwise we just listen to them on the computer.

{ What a challenge! }

I finally finished Kim's Container Challenge. Wow! That was a huge challenge for me...even more than my own July Challenge! ;0)

I hope you like it Kim. I must say though...hands down Nancy's container is amazing! I don't know how she managed to get the entire candy container covered, but I am bowing down to you, Nancy!!

Not sure what I will use the container for. I was thinking of using it for scrap pieces of ribbon perhaps. Although, my girls were eyeing it too. ;0)

{ ATC Penguin has found a home }

I was playin' the other night with Jen's sketch from last week...yet again. I love this sketch so much! And decided to find my ATC a home.

Hubby thinks it is a little too busy...what do men know? I happen to love this card! I am quite proud of it actually.

Hope you all have a great sunny summery weekend! It is gonna be a scorcher here in Calgary. Low 30's(thats 90+ for the Americans) all weekend and into next week. We will be in the kiddie pool in the backyard all day today for sure!! Enjoy!

I needed a quick Bella card yesterday and this is what I came up with. This card literally only took me like 3 minutes to whip up. Why is it I can spend 2 hours on one card that looks like crap and then spend 3 minutes and actually kinda like what I did?? ;0) One of those days I guess.

{ Tagged again...different one this time }

I know that I have been tagged a few more times and apologize, but I had such a hard time thinking of the first 7 things I could'nt do it again ;0)

This one is different though. I have been tagged by Nancy. I am suppose to 'toot' my own horn and give you 7 good things about myself...hmmm...well...hmmm...

1. I have been over weight most of my life. After the birth of my second daughter I decided enough was enough and I had to do something. I joined Weight Watchers Online and 1 year and 1 month later I was down 85 pounds. I was very proud of myself and it really was not that difficult for me. I have lost my focus over the past few years, but with the help of a special friend, Kim, I am determined to regain that focus and loose these extra pounds that have started to creep back up again!

2. I was given the opportunity to work with a wonderful lady, Diana Crick, over at the Scor-Pal Website as one of their Guest Instructors. I had never written a tutorial before, but think it turned out quite well and very thrilled with the opportunity.

3. I think that I am a pretty good Mom...could be better, but can't we all, really?

4. I can be pretty creative when I want to be....I think.

5. My Ginger Cookies are pretty darn good.

6. I am a pretty giving person.

7. I have a pretty good sense of humor...although at times pretty dark ;0)

Okay that was really tough!! I think I have been sitting here for more than 30 or 40 minutes now!! I know pretty lame...

{ WooHoo!!! }

Yes, I am a little excited! Why you ask?? Well I have a few things to be excited about. First off...I won Jens' Weekly Sketch Challenge!! I have been wanting to join in the fun each week and finally had the chance to get in on it...and I won! Thanks again Jen. Can't wait to see this weeks challenge.

The other reason I am so excited??? Well, cause I picked this up yesterday!

That's right!! I found a demo here in Calgary...Sacha...that was selling off some of her retired stuff and I she had one of these Island Blossoms Scrappin kits!! I am just too excited!! Can you tell ;0) Thanks again Sacha! Now what to create with this baby?!

I totally forgot to share this with you all. This was my first ever ATC(Artist Trading Card). I joined in Laura's ATC swap back in May. Here is what I came up with for my first one. What do you think?

I was quite happy with this little guy...or gal ;0) Here are the other ATC's from this swap. I am a member of Laura's second ATC swap. This one was a Bella ATC Swap. I struggled a bit with this one but hopefully everyone likes it. I will share that one once I get them back...forgot to take a pic of it before I sent them off...duh!

{ RAK and Butterfly Bday }

It is much cooler here in Calgary today! We went from +31 the other day to +12 today! Not too happy about that, but what can you do?

I wanted to share a RAK(Random Act of Kindness) that I received this week. This card is from Angel who was a winner from my Contain Yourself Contest back in April. Thank you so much Angel...love that little birdy!

This next card is one of the 3 I made the other night. I needed a card for a bday party that the girls and I are off to today. This is for a little girl who is turning 6. She loves butterflies. I hope she likes it. I really love this sketch. It is just a great sketch for showcasing DP...or at least I think it is.

Yup, I've been playin' around with ideas for my blog again. I think I have finally come to a decision. Because some of you freaked {Kim...just teasing you ;0)}when I deleted my blog list, I have decided to change my weekly blog in profile. I will profile 5 blogs each week for you to check out. These will be in no order what-so-ever. You will find them on the right hand side. Also, I will be featuring 3 new music videos each week. These are songs that I enjoy and listen to on a regular basis or new artists that I have found that you must check out! Hope you enjoy the new features. This is my blog and it is my 'Happy Place' not just for my stamping, but all things that make me Happy.

{ Some changes and new features! }

I have decided to make some changes around my blog. I was in a kookie mood lastnight and added some new widgets...did ya notice?? Why not try your hand at a game of Pong? ;0)

I have also deleted my blog list. I have so many new blogs in my Google Reader and keep forgeting to update my blog. So I have decided to just feature one of my many blogs I visit daily. So why not start today. Every Tuesday I will feature a different blog and for all kinds of reasons. For my first one? There will be no particular order to these. This first one is just because of post that made me laugh the other day. Todays feature blog is Jason Sampson. Why? Because of this creation the other day!! Too funny! Thanks for making me smile and laugh out loud Jason!!

I am hoping to show you something new soon. I am working on some swaps right now and always feel wrong showing them before they are due...but who knows maybe ;0)
